Head Cannon #2

Nico held Bianca's green cap in his hands. He smiled at the memory of his mother giving her that cap, many years ago. He remembered how she had smiled and thanked their mom, and put it on, never taking it off except to shower and sleep, and even when she slept she kept it close by. He held the soft, green faded fabric in his hand. What would've happened if they just stayed at the school? Bianca never would've died, and Nico wouldn't have to live his life in constant fear. But, he wouldn't have met Hazel and Will and the Seven, and he wouldn't have known about his power or how to defend himself. He sighed as he set the cap down on his nightstand and stood up as someone knocked on the cabin door. He opened it to a smiling Will.

"You okay?" he asked.

"Yeah. Just a little tired." Nico answered.

"Um, I was wondering, if you wanted to be on my,um, capture the flag team?" Will asked, stuttering. Nico smiled.

"Does Percy hate Ares?" Nico asked. Will smiled back as Nico closed the cabin door and walked away to the woods with Will to meet with the rest of Camp Half-Blood.
